There could have be several reasons why the opposition hasn’t formally pursued this yet. Filing a sworn affidavit or legal challenge requires solid evidence, and without it, the case might not hold in court and could backfire politically.

There is no need of any sworn in Affidavit. It is black and white in the public domain. Theif ECI has to resign and allow independent investigation on voters fraud. Can ECI sworn in and say no dead is in the electrol roll and no living voter left in the electrol roll ? Can ECI sworn in and say there is no double voting ? Why ECI is afraid of releasing the video of the voting ? Why percentage of voting keeps changing until the day of counting ?

There really is no due process. The due process of the signed affidavit can be given only within 30 days of the publishing of the electoral rolls. Which they were unable to do since the ECI doesn't give data in machine readable formats. 


The due process was that the ECI suo moto starts an investigation into this, and come clean. That they refuse to do.

Instead of dismissing Rahul Gandhi’s vote chori claims as ‘misleading’ via an X post, the ECI should counter them point by point. The ECI is not a Court and cannot act like a Court in entertaining petitions/complaints as The Representation of the People Act, 1951 does not give them the power of a Court.

It doesn’t matter at all whether he filed an affidavit or not. He presented some easily verifiable data. EC should have just come clear, debugging 3 or 4 such data. They chose to behave like the mouth piece of one party. Secondly, there’s always going to be certain degree of errors in the data he has even if the bigger picture remains true. This error can be used against him. The moment he files and affidavit, the EC will find some error and can start
criminal proceedings. It’s a trap.

This is my take - there are just too many signals over the last few years that the elections are not fair. For example, how EC acts on code of conduct differently for different parties. One just need to keep an open mind to see that the system is broken.

I am going to write a slightly long comment to share my experience as a once BJP supporter and now active opposer of them. I hope some of you would read it. 

The biggest robbery BJP has done so far is to rob the freedom of the andhbhakts. They have their intellect compromised .They are incapable of criticizing BJP. The party has succeeded in making foot soldiers for free of cost who would work to bully others who question corruption. 

This has never been the case before. Whenever some scam used to come out, the whole public irrespective of party affiliations would signal their protest against the government. 

I myself supported BJP for 18yrs. I used to bunk school in election counting days hoping for BJP victory. And I have seen Vajpayee become PM .But I was not a stooge of the party. Nation first. And in demonitization I have seen how evil BJP was. From that time I have been against BJP and its myriad ways of destroying the very country and its institutions. 

In the last 9yrs of active and passive opposition to BJP, this is what I have understood of the bhakts. It is futile to argue with them or hope for changing them. Their brains are slaves to BJP.  And BJP ensures that they remain that way by peddling lies, mocking opposition, bombarding them with convincing lies through news, posters, movies, social media through their IT cell. They spend thousands lf crores to maintain an image, to brainwash people continuously. 

And that should give a clue to what BJP is afraid of the most - they are afraid of questions, they are afraid of logic, they are afraid of truth, and rationality. They are afraid of accountability. And those are the things people should keep doing it. Just ignore the trolls and bhakts .Half of them are paid to do it. The loudness is there for people to feel despair , that opposition does not matter. that it is a lost cause. And that is what we should defy. Speak out. Even if we are the only ones speaking. But we are not the only ones. There are crores of them who see through the lies and corruption of BJP . That is our duty to the country, and to the people ( including bhakts) . We owe it to the freefom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and country we have.

I was looking at how Chief Election Commissioner is appointed, and saw that it is by a panel of three - PM, LOP, and Union Cabinet minister.

With this form of appointment, it is obvious that CEC is most likely subservient to ruling party because of 2/3 voting.

These are scary times. As a tax payer in 95th income percentile I no longer feel like I'm contributing towards the country's success. 

I get nothing for the money that's taken away from my salary before it even hits my account. I feel like I'm paying the gangers some protection money to leave me alone. Dare I say anything, my life which feels like a house of cards these days would come crumbling down. The tax payers are silent and oppressed and the most powerless minority. 

When we get screwed, none of us even have the time or the courage to take our discontent to the streets in the form of protests, because we might have our lives turned upside down. If I decide to protest and the government decides to throw me in jail, my family and I are screwed. My career is screwed. Nobody will hire me. I'll lose my home as I can't afford the emi. That's the case for every white collar worker in this country.

Don't ask for roads, don't ask for affordable and decent public travel, don't ask for world class government funded education for that 2% cess you pay on top of the income tax, don't ask for the best treatments in a government hospital, don't expect justice when you get killed on the road, don't even think of looking at anyone remotely related to the government in a funny way. 

Mere existence of these services at the worst possible quality deserves a pat on the governments back day and night by the sell out media houses.

The standards for what India could and should be have been brought down so much that our dreams for the future can't even compete with other poor countries with a similar gdp per capita. It's sad that we as a country have nothing to look forward to. We're going to be left behind when the history of human progress is traced back a century later. We'll be a case study of a failed state if things don't change soon. Every single agency is rotten with corruption. Look at the bridges falling do you think these are one off cases? What if none of the infrastructure gets serviced? Money is allocated but not used for the right thing? How long will your bike run without maintenance? A year? Two years? These are gigantic yet fragile pieces of public use infrastructure, they need regular upkeep.

It's frustrating and scary to think that one government was able to achieve such despair in 10 years. It took 10 years to wipe out the culture of India that evolved over 62 years after independence. We were already on a path to become vishwaguru before this government screwed it all up. Yoga had gained so much respect across the world even before the cheap and fast internet. Indians were considered smart, and were treated with respect, now they were seen as dirty and nuisance creators all because of this wrong mindset propagated by a few idiots.

And all this for what? To take us back to the dark ages? Seriously? Anyone who could get an out from India would consider themselves as lucky. The rich ones who can make it happen with money are already leaving, heck even the ministers' kids are surrendering ing Indian citizenship. And why blame them? They're just doing what most of us want, they're just lucky enough to afford it.

That's my rant for today fellow Indians. Hope we can all collectively turn this shit show around and get back on the track of science and development. And creating a better future together.

When congress was accused of corruption, we all were furious, the accusation was enough to be angry. It was found, investigated and broadcast by media. So much so that they lost.

Bjp learnt that beforehand. Modi in an interview on gujurat riots said, "the only thing I could have done better, is to handle the media better.".
That's the first thing bjp did after their win. They took over every form of media, as quickly as possible, using any means necessary.

Most Indians were media trusting at the time, hence their hate for congress, including with paid media, they all made modi a grand figure. That's what hate does. They took full advantage of our innocent emotions.

They kept the media at hand, and kept thrashing rahul as a joke for years, using memes and his own videos. On the other hand, modi also made idiotic comments, worse than rshul, but congress didn't understand the power of social media at the time and couldn't ride on it cell control.

No matter how much we think right, truth is, they have power, influence, money, and support. Congress, who has proven and blotted image of corruption,  could never match such following, no matter what.

As an Indian, I am for a citizenship number.

1. Start implementation of newborns getting a citizenship number.

2. Existing people prove citizenship and get a citizenship number.

There are too many people with too many identities- PAN, AAdhar, etc, etc.

I have seen Rahul Gandhi lie and cheat and spread venom and show double standards so many times that I don't believe anything he says. 


He always looks down on Indians as the way a white person colonizer looks down upon native people. 


I don't even support the BJP maharashtra govt and wish uddhav theckeray had won. But I don't believe anything that Rahul says. I don't think his personal interests align with Indian interests. 

So while I would take notice if someone with a solid reputation makes the same claim, I am not buying this narrative coming from rashtriy pappu.

I agree. But i wanna add, if you’re a well aware indian, you’d know this ain’t election fraud, this is norm, not everywhere but it happens. That’s the ground reality and it honestly isn’t even a big issue since every party does it so it nullifies the effect.
